Congrats Amanda Image and Happy Birthday.

Hey. 1:03's are 5 seconds faster than I've ever lapped Lime Rock. Nice job! You all had a great cool-weather summer
day to race comfortably in. Wish I could have been there, [especially for some of that Birthday cake!] Image I was at a

family picnic in NJ, launching model rocket powered styrofoam gliders off of the top of a baseball field backstop to the
delight of the dozen or so kids present. Image

Nice racing Amanda, sound's like you should move up to "D" class and show the boys how it's done.

Thanks guys. And don't thank me for the cake, that's what step-dad's are for. Couldn't have asked for a better weekend for racing. (It's 1:03.43 by the way) I'd love to run "D", but I'm out of a car. Time's getting shorter, and all my time is into the SFR.

By the way Rob, you didn't do so shabby yourself with a trophey finish. (YES Finally a trophy!!!!!) Told ya I'm gunna get ya!

Re: AH at LRP

The racing was great again last weekend at Limerock. The Spec Racer Ford race was the best race of the day. 40 cars started the race. Amanda qualified well and was starting mid-pack. Rob Reed qualified 2nd in the SRF class and 4th over-all. The green flag dropped and Rob slammed it into gear and hit the gas - only it was the wrong gear and I think he hit the brake - he went from 4th to 22nd before the first turn! It was amazing that none of the cars behind him hit him - or someone else - in the scramble to get past. From that point forward though, he drove like a man possessed. Flew through the entire field all the way back up to second place! He was all over the 1st place car with 2 laps to go. The announcer and crowd were going crazy. The announcer was telling the crowd that Rob was an ice-racer from up-state NY and that was why he could drive like that - a little sideways through the turns! Rob gave it an outstanding effort, but couldn't get by for the win. He wound up 2nd in class and 2nd overall. His fastest lap was 1:01.198 -the winner's fastest lap was 1:01.632.
It was by far the most exciting race to watch all day.
Amanda had her best finish yet - 15th out of 40! Beating alot of guys who have been racing SRF's for years.
Both of you did a great job! Keep making the rest of us "up-state NY ice-racers" proud.
