The 84B is for sale!

I don't know how many of you have been paying attention to the Classified section of our site, but Claude is selling the championship winning B class turbo Saab 900 very reasonably. In fact for what you're getting, it's downright cheap. You'd be getting a well built car that is well sorted and fast! Claude don't part it out!

Here's the ad:

For Sale: Former A.M.E.C. "B" class championship car. The former 84"B" ,1986 Saab 900 turbo-very rare 912 body,2 dr. sedan. Tube chassis in rear of vehicle. Complete car weighs in at 1900 lbs. 12 gallon fuel cell from the old days when we used to have 1 hour finales, Rising rate fuel pressure regulater. New gen 900 extra large turbo intercooler, custom built turbocharger by SPG 9 in California, AID distributor from SPG 9 in Calif, rising rate fuel pressure regulater, modified APC box (turbo control) Autometer gauges to include boost gauge, pyrometer with recall, Autometer tach, detachable steering wheel, NEW CV JOINTS both sides, Coilover shocks in rear, new Bilsteins in front, fully caged. Aluminum race seat, Differential is locked, Suspension is set up very correct for Ice racing. Transmission is freshly rebuilt. Presently running and drivable....I started it yesterday. All you'll need to do with this car is haul it to the Ice Races in jump in behind the wheel!!!!Tons of spare parts also available. $2000 or best reasonable offer...if not reasonable I will part the car out for my own use(lots of race goodies worth big $) Car can also be used in off road rallying!!! or on dirt tracks for fun.  84B is no longer for sale...May use it for a back-up car and then parts..Didn't have much interest?? TOO SLOW

Well I'm glad to hear it Claude. After all, now that we have a summer euro-rallycross series, there is now good reason to keep those old Menard cars around. I know my old #42 car has been given a new lease on life. At one point I had considered parting it out and junking the shell. Now I'm fixing it up and buying more parts for it. emoticon
