Super Bowl plans...

This weekend is a bit of a head-scratcher for me, a football fan who lives almost four hours from Warners Lake, in central Vermont.
There’s no way in (insert bad place here) I’m going to miss the ice race, but I also don’t want to miss the Super Bowl.
Wondering if any other AMEC’ers are in the same boat, or have developed a localish work-around?
Also, wondering if AMEC is actually planning on a shorter day of racing to accommodate this conflict? Disclaimer: I fully expect and deserve ridicule for even suggesting that football is in the same realm of significance as ice racing.

You should be able to make it home before halftime.
I'm stuck working, so I can't ice race or watch the game emoticon

Yea that's a dilemma Paul, we hope to try and get the races over by 4:30 but you never know. Now they are calling for late afternoon or evening snow also which will slow down the drive home.

You could always blow out early but 4 hours is a long ride for a partial race day. Some of us are staying for dinner at the Maple Inn and will miss some of the Super Bowl too.

What ever you choose we really appreciate everyone that drives a long distance to come race with us!

There are lots of "restaurants" along the way that have Super Bowl parties.

Thanks for the ideas guys. I have no intention of missing any races; having a blast as always with AMEC.
I'm working on a moving timeline of restaurants & bars that are along the way home. The leading candidate seems to be a place aptly called "Time Served" right across the road from the prison just north of Fort Ann. What could possibly go wrong?
See you Sunday!
