That's an interesting question Jeff. Maybe Dick Vedder or Dave Burnham will know. I can only say that for the past 15 years, the only time we raced in December was for the Beaver Mug 100 in Lowville, on December 13th, 1997. That was on land, but was mostly snow and ice covered.

As far as I can recall the Beaver Mug was the only race held in Dec. There have been a few years that we have been able to race on the first weekend in Jan.

 AMEC has raced a few times as early as the first Sunday in January. I remember going to an ANNUAL meeting at the Rainbow on Saturday evening and had to get home early to get ready to go Ice Racing in the [sign in to see URL]'t that about five years ago??
